Welcome to the home of things that are interesting to me.
I like things that are fabulous, ridiculous, radical and surreal — preferably, all these at the same time.

My blog details my never-ending quest to actually see what is before me. Also, I am on a mission to find people who are doing something new — proposing creative, visionary alternatives to a world gone mad. And other fun things.

I try to look closely at everything. Especially gay things, so I have begun an informal study of what exactly “gay graphic design” is — must it have rainbows, a thousand fonts, a disco ball and a starburst? All of them in every poster?

I cannot bear to see food wearing hats. Or having cartoon faces that are dancing and smiling at the person who is cooking it. You will be amazed at how common these are.

And for years I have been taking photos of really, really big (often roof-mounted) ice cream cones. While something as old-school as “signs” usually alerts potential customers to what sort of business is inside, it seems ice cream vendors feel the need to give larger-than-life, three-dimensional visual aids.
